How to Become a 'Perfect' Entrepreneur

How to Become a 'Perfect' Entrepreneur

| Kahdija Imari

In Summer of 2020, I decided to be my own boss.

It actually kind of happened in less of a dramatic way.

What I mean is, I didn’t exactly set out to be my own boss, just so I could be my own boss!

It felt more like me enjoying the process of my creative juices flowing from one idea to the next…

Working hard to learn a new thing, how to execute it, and then try to customize it to my exact liking.

What I learned over time is…

This boss right here…

This boss is a perfectionist!

But being an entrepreneur, however, is not a perfect job.

Being an entrepreneur does not look perfect…

It does not feel perfect…

The journey itself does not flow perfectly…

In fact, it has been quite a messy ride for me.

If you are reading this and you are a fellow entrepreneur, drop a thumbs up in the comment section to let me know you feel or have felt this way too.

It has seriously been a wild ride.

But it was totally worth it!

Perfect execution or not, I just kept putting one foot in front of another.

And you should too if you have an idea and there’s a small part of you that wants to show it to the world.

Start in your own home…

Start in your own neighborhood…

At work… At school… At church… At club or organization meetings…

So long as you start, you are doing well.

So you see, the perfect entrepreneur does not exist.

Instead, the beautiful portrait of your successful life is painted when you make the daily decision to keep moving forward with the dream and vision that creeps it’s way in to your heart and mind…

The decision to BE an entrepreneur everyday…

To show up everyday…

To put in the hard work, time, money, and endless effort into yourself and into your business…

To continually carve some paths and walk the long road of those paved before you, despite the cracks and potholes…

That is a beautiful entrepreneur that is perfectly imperfect.
